I must say that I found this post to be at the same time humorous and frightening.

- - humorous with respect to UAL's use of his doggie puns.

- - frightening with respect to the implication - - do our posts have to be informative or educational in order to keep us out of the "DOG HOUSE" ?!?!?

Hmmmmm... well, it worked at the time. I make a habit of testing the links before I hit the ole "Submit Reply" button. Hmmmmm...

Ahhhhhh... I see... it's a link that relies on a Search ID, and that must be good for only a certain time period, or perhaps for a session... whatever the case, it's temporary.


OK, so ya gotta do the work yourself, then. Click on SEARCH above, then Advanced search, type "Big Dog" in the "User Name" block on the top right, then scroll down to the bottom left and select "Posts" in the "Sort Results as" block, Click "Search Now" (or just press ENTER), and voilà.


Bottom line, there's a whole bunch of posts that just say "bump" and it looks like they were posted on 2 consecutive mornings, ruling out the "somebody forgot to sign off" defense.

As for UAL, well, be a bit more understanding. After all, you haven't seen too many other posts killed that weren't worth the effort, have you?

I killed one a long time ago on religion (before we got the non-aviation chat forum) and the Webmaster got tons of email on the "killing." Mark had me reinstate the post in question, so I've stayed the course since then, despite the venom and vitriol held within. Some would argue that those posts, including others in the non-av forum, are devoid of education. Me...hey, I'm always willing to tolerate sincere debate, just not racism or blatant hatemongering.

Oh well---it's only bandwith and time we a'wastin!
