It is a nice photo, however.

Looking at that Air France 747 video, it seems impossible that the airplane could taxi into that position on the runway. Maybe it's just the angle of the camera, but do they tug that thing into postion for takeoff?

I don't think I can recall watching the whole process of the position and hold for the 747, but I did see several takeoffs, with the throttle up and kids being lifted of their feet.

I would say that the sheer number of aircraft that operate there every day suggests that they just taxi into position. I spent a little time at that beachside bar shown in the picture, but not long enough to see the whole event.
