Hi!

Holy cow, is this guy tough on the big 6 (AA, UAL, DAL, NWA, Continental, & USAir?)! I'd never heard of him until I clicked on a link I found on www.airliners.net.

***Here is the link***

This is about the most negative post about how the major airlines are run that I've ever seen.

Do U guys agree with him, or disagree?

Maybe the biggest problem with the big airlines is they were set up to run in a regulated environment, and they never changed enough?

What do U think?

PS-I pray to God that we get out of this Iraq mess intact. I'm afraid of losing our house and having to declare bankruptcy, along with tens of millions of other Americans, after the US goes into the tank because of the effects of this probable war.

It's Joe Public's money so who cares-spend, spend, spend, maybe the load factors will increase and the fuel prices go down.

I'm less than smart and I can't find it. Could you say WHICH link you clicked on and the name of the story?

Maybe I'm missing something, but what post are you referring to?

I've never heard of him either, because I have no idea who you're talking about.

Do U guys agree with him, or disagree?

I can't agree or disagree if I don't know what the heck he said.

OK, I'm finished being a Smart A** now. I'm curious about the post. Do you have a link so the rest of us can read it?

Hi!

Sorry about that! I think I was on the Internet for about 14 consecutive hours-it must've been too much.

That's what happens when you are stuck in OKC for about 10 days, waiting for Saddam Hussein to die of old age!

Anyway, I went to the source and here is the link:

I also edited the starting post and put it in!

PS-I hope your posted links work a ton better than mine did!

posted from USA Today: "...I won't shed a tear if and when any of the Big Six disappear. Neither should you. More to the point, we shouldn't waste another dime of our national treasury propping them up...."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll shed a tear for the workers and their families but this guy's article is right on the money. IMO the market will likely support a big three or four. But six? Where is thaT written in stone? We badly need a shakeout. Not another shakedown.

Read the articule in the USA today as well, WOW, very good points. Putting emotion to the side, he brought up excellent points.
