Just got an IPhone. It is cool. Works fine, camera, WiFi, stocks, WX, Google Earth, music, movies, etc.. F/A's love to play with it...

My vote is for the Treo 700wx running Windows Mobile 5 on Sprint..

Internet is fast, I have a search on my home screen and can have an answer from google in about 3 seconds. Very fast internet, I find myself on the internet for around 3 hours a day.. I am very happy with the internet speed, I have unlimited net which includes email for around 10. per month.

Bluetooth capable. The update that just came out allows stereo use from you BT headset (music)..

Alarm is great, independent of your phone. You can cut off your phone and your alarm still works (independent of network signal).

Frame websites don't work to well in IE, so you can download a 'tabbed' browser, like oprea mini to help with that. Besides the 'framed pages' IE is fast and stable..

I have a backup utility called 'sprite' which I use every week to back up my device. This program creates a .exe file to restore your device just in-case.. To give sprite a try, one day I did a hard reset.. I clicked on the .exe file I saved to my SD card and WALA, my complete treo, including my address book was restored...

The querty is nice, I can bank out a long email in no time...

Sprint service is great, I can download a 6 minute porno in no-time.!!

Google maps is the best, turn-by-turn directions, with traffic delays is golden...

I have a 2gig SD card and I use that to expand my memory. I also use the same SD card in my digital camera..

Battery is good, with my high internet use.. Lasts around 2 days, although I charge it every night..

Email can be pushed, pulled or outlooked, depends on your flavor.. I personally pull from my accounts once an hour.

There is a cool program that you can download that allows you to change the TV/VCR from your device using your IR port (lazy pilot in the pilot's lounge)

Direct sunlight viewing is great, hitting shift+p allows me to increase the brightness..

Like all windows devices, you will get an occasional freeze. I like to do a soft reset every few days just to keep things jiggy..

That being said, I can't think of anything that I don't like about my treo..

Well said, I 100% agree, have been using my Treo 700WX for almost a year now and its simply great

I just returned my Treo 700wx, largely because I thought it was a complete piece of junk. Bulky, keyboard was too small (my fingers don't seem THAT big), messaging in general froze at least 10 times in the two days I had it. The PDA functions were slow (APDL took FOREVER to load, and the screen is so small that even APDL automatically had scroll bars on it), and, although typical of Windows Mobile, the apps never completely closed, resulting in even more of a slowdown with applications that were already slow. There are programs on Handango.com that you can download that actually "close" applications so they don't take up already meager memory (even though they doubled the memory for this phone), but I didn't feel that was something I should have to do.

My hopes were high for the 700wx, but I was severely disappointed. It just doesn't seem like it's "there" yet, and I was subsequently a little p-d off that I was actually looking forward to using this phone. I simply couldn't get it to work the way I believe it was promised. Congrats to those who can get it work, but I'm not exactly computer-illiterate, and felt that the several hundred bucks I forked out for this smartphone should have purchased something that worked better than it did. Just my .02 worth...

What are you looking to do with it mostly?

I've tried the Blackberry 8800 (t-mo), Blackberry 8830 (verizon), Treo 680 and Treo 750 (both on t-mo and ATT), all in the last 90 days. I returned them all because I decided I didn't need all that stuff. That being said, if email is your primary concern, you can't beat the Blackberry. Also, keep in mind that Windows Mobile 5 does not support HTML email formats. PM me if you have any specific questions.

I´ll 3rd the Blackberry 8830.....I have had it for about 3 months now with NO complaints.
I got it for the ability to surf any internet page I wanted and the email functions are easily the best out there.
I left ATT/Cingular after 9 yrs and am very happy with Verizon so far, coverage and customer service both are better.

I have the treo 650. I like it, but would like faster internet. Do you guys recommend upgrading to the 755p? Is there a big dif. from the 750p? Is a newer version soon to be released?

Also, for the treo, there used to be a cool program called flightstatus. Mine doesn't work anymore, I get a message that the guys site is down or something like that. Anyone have a program like that?

I have a friend that has a 650.. Compared to my 700wx, internet speed is like night-and-day...
Not sure about flightstatus, but flightaware has a mobile version that is just fantastic..!!!

Something to look at the 6700/6800 has a larger screen and faster processor with reduces the problem with the 700wx. There is a free program called "switch" that will close all the windows and is very small memory footprint.

Don't take the iphone outside of country.

I heard there are some lawsuit going on with customers vs. At&T/Apple.
whe you take iPhone out of US, it will still try to update the email acct. so you can be charged a lot.
Do a search on the phone.
