Best schedule for three crew one plane?

8 On 6 Off staggered. Crews rotate through each other with Designated SIC taking turns and "On-Call" during overlap for perverbial toe-stubbing or sick-out. Works out to almost 20 potential "duty" days if someone doesn't tow their load, (sick or injured all the time) That guy gets to be SIC most of the time and assume the duties. Or fire them.
