I'm looking for opinions on what looks best to fractional operators. I've got the usual mix of time, lots of PIC piston twin, some regional SIC jet, some Caravan. Ultimately want to work in the frac world, NJ is my current hope, and I'm wondering which is better: PIC single turbine or PIC Piston twin (402,etc) . Any opinions, especially from anyone involved in recruiting, would be greatly appreciated. Also, wondering what seems to be a competitive TT at NJA is right now, especially with all the FLY I guys out there?

Total times are up, but you DO have a shot. If I were you, I'd meet an NJA pilot, rent a C-172 and prove to him you can fly, take him to Outback, buy him dinner, get him smashed then hand him your double spaced, proof-read L.O.R. for his signature. It is the surest way to move into the "good" resume pile.

Seriously, get an L.O.R.. It is your best bet. Either way, email your resume.

I would agree with swept's plan to get the inside LOR. As far as what time to get, if you do not meet a particular NJ minimum that would be priority numero uno. (little multi-lingual action at no extra charge)

If you meet mins get those LORs from inside if possible or from other sources as high up in places you have flown in the past. Better to have a LOR from a CP or DO than just some regular captain you flew with that NJ does not know from Adam.

With min flt time and the LORs get the application in ASAP. As far as choosing between the single turbine or multi piston I would consider your specific situation. If you are light on multi time go the multi-piston. If you already have plenty multi but not much turbine then go for the turbine time.

JMHO

Good luck and hope to see you at NJ.

So funny that Netjets was the worst place in the industry to work at just 6 months ago. The only thing that changed was the money...

I was wondering about LORs from people outside of NJ and I get an answer to my question before I can even ask it. There is hope for this board!

In addition to a friend at Netjets I've also had both a Training Department Captain and an Ass't CP from my current job offer to write me a LOR and I just wasn't sure how much of a difference the outside LORs might make.

Every single one of you on here were bitchin' about how bad it was at netjets and how the company sucked etc... THATS ALL WE HEARD FROM YOU FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS. Dont make me go back and put all your quotes on here. And since when does $$$=QOL??? AND, let me tell you something, the company didn't change, your contract did. The company still sucks like it did 6 months ago when you were looking for another job. Talk about drinking kool-aid....
