Best Jet to fly

Of the two jets I have flown, Fokker 28 and the MD80, I much prefer the 80. Actually, I love it. It takes awhile getting used to it, and it can be a little odd during landing, especially if it is nose heavy. I also fly the MD90 and even though most people like that, I really dont care for it. It has hydraulically powered elevators and FADEC. This makes for sensitive elevators and throttles(read: funky multiple flare landings).

Reluctantly I have just bid for the 737NG series, this is in case I get laid off and have to find another job. I would hate to leave the MD, but these days I would rather find myself in any 737 than on the street.

764 is very underpowered. Contrary to other opinons I like the 762. I also agree the 757 is a real sweetheart. The 200 with our Roll's engines that is. The 300 no comment on that one. The civilian airliner I enjoyed flying the most though was the 727. Was fortunate to be able to fly all 3 seats. 737 NG's? No comment.

We're buying a Citation II and I have flown this a couple of times. For a small civilian jet it is a nice handling and economical airplane. But it sure is slow.

The L-39 is a great airplane. But it is getting a bit pricey to operate.

But my absolute favorite hot airplane was the F-4. Nothing compares. With this airplane I will always hold a sentimental value and fond memories.
