best aviation maintainence school???

I went to Cochise College in Douglas, AZ. It was about 4K for 18 months. Yeah, no kidding....but you have to be a resident of AZ to get this deal....and it was in '96-97, so it's likely more...

I am a pilot that got my A&P, and did not want to spend a lot of money since flying is my main $$-maker (well, relatively, anyway...none of us are really making $$, and honestly I got paid more clocking in as a mechanic than the dang 70 something hours pay you get as a pilot).

I find it extremely beneficial to fly and be a mechanic (I had no clue and no mechanical experience with anything at all when I went to school, and I can't imagine going through this career like that. Glad I did it!)

As a nice bonus, Snap On tools gave us a 60% discount on any tools bought during school, so that was the best part!
