What is the best aviation website that one can look for jobs. I belong to 4 of them and they all seem to be the same. (planejobs, aviationcareer, climb, and avianation.) Is there a better one out there???

when I started sending resumes to posts on monster and dice.com, my spam email doubled... so who knows.

These services have changed dramatically in the last few years. Only 5 years ago, UPAS and AEPS were dominant because they were airline supported and offered much more than just job posting. They were heavily used by the employers for searches.

Today, each one will steal anothers posting and the emphasis is on getting jobs upthere one way or another. I think planejobs and aviationcareer are really the same people trying to get more than one buck for the same information.

Today it is hard to tell if the airlines/employers are using them. When I had the magazine, you could tell as there were ads from the carriers, they attended job fairs that cost them money, and they posted and serced constantly.

Today, show me!

The domain's are registered to different companies, but oddly enough, it appears that they use the same hosting service out of houston, tx

Don't know anything about aviationcareer.com but been a member of PlaneJobs.com for 2 years. Got my current job plus a bunch of interviews from their postings. Best I can tell you in my travels they are the most respected.

Has anyone ever actually been hired from one of those things? I think its all a scam

I did once get a job from AEPS, though the job was also posted on other sites. It actually turned out to be a pretty decent job & I got some good experience before the company went bankrupt a few months later.

I did go to one of AEPS's job fairs after getting laid off. My opinion? Total waste of time.

I don't know if "scam" is the perfect descriptor here. They are, after all, just providing a service w/ no guarantees. Many of the companies who advertise are bottom-feeders and really need to get outside their local area to sucker in-I mean attract - qualified candidates. Be cautious and get info through your grapevine.

Good luck,

C
