Does anybody have the name and number of a nice, reasonably priced hotel in Bermuda? I'm taking the boss there for the first time next month and he is a little "concerned" about the cost of our hotel rooms. I don't need to stay at the Ritz, but I'm not staying in a roach motel either. Thanks

We always stay at the Grotto Bay. Nice little private beach, decent in-house restaurant, close to the airport.

Grotto Bay is one nighter. anything more than that is kinda $ucks. You want to be downtown - the Princess is a good spot.

The boss can afford an extra $50 a night. If he biatches, fly low and fast and cost him $1000 in gas.

I love owners who can jet to Bermuda for the week but are concerned about your hotel costs.

750/night at the Ritz - thats not appropriate - but sitting out of town in a one restaurant hotel for any length of time - fark that.

Most logical thing I have seen in some time. The boss will spend how many tens of thousands on that trip but whine about the extra 1/100% of that cost for a decent place for his pilots. The better rested you are, the better his flights will be.

Stay away from the Wyndam, it's out on it's own, no internet access, expensive beer, rooms stink. Way too expensive

Try the Grotto Bay Hotel. Nice with great view and a $96 crew rate.

What crew rate? I just stayed there a few nights ago for $310/night.

I'd highly recommend anymore than an overnight staying at the Grotto. Excellent hotel. Dock by the hotel has kayak, boat, scuba, fishing rentals. Fish all you want $15 and no license required. By a bus pass. That will get you around the island most affordably. Cabs from Grotto to St. George are $12. Round trip on the bus is $5. Mopeds run about $45-50/day plus another $30/day for insurance. 20 mph speed limit on the island though buses disregard. I had never seen a bus tailgate a moped until the other day.

The Princess has rates around $180 for crews in Hamilton. More to do there if you're not into the above mentioned. Both Hamilton and St. George are tourist traps. Cruise ships dock at both. However, makes for interesting scenery ;)

Bermuda is expensive. Breakfast at the hotel ran about $40-45 (full breakfast)for two. Decent dinner for four $150-175.
