I am due to renew my medical from 2nd class to 1st class here in a few weeks.

Just last week I started having vertigo when I laid in bed and turned my head to the right. It was only in this position. I blew it off that my allergies were just messing with me. But it kept doing it for a week.

I researched online and found the "Eppley" manuever to try to fix this. Well, it worked. But I went to my family doctor anyway and he totally concurred that's what I had.

Now, my question is, does anyone know anybody that had this and passed their medical exam without any problems. AOPA told me to just have a doctor's letter saying I'm fine and I should be good.

Any thoughts?

Benign Paraoxsymal vertigo

Morning,

I had BPV a few years back. Went to the doctor, called ALPA Aero Med who handled evrything with the FAA. Stayed out of work for 2 weeks after my last episode and all was OK.
