I've got an interview coming up in a couple of weeks with Eagle and I was wondering if anyone could tell me about benefits at AMR, i.e., vacation, health insurance premiums for a family, 401K, etc.

I'm sure all this information is out there, somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it.

Thanks.

Biggest benefit is the 7 year upgrade, I would take the first class they offer you.

How do you figure that? New hires are looking at a 3-4 year upgrade.

Yeap. 3 to 4 years seems to be the forcast now. I've been around for 3 years and next year might be my turn.

Vacation - 2 weeks a year until you hit year 5, then it's 3 weeks etc.

Insurance - For me/wife/2 kids it's @ $250 a month including dental.

401k - match after 1 yr of service at 50% of the 7% you put in. Goes up after 5 years.

could some one tell us the travel benefits... I heard them at the interview but forgot em. Is it really only 12 trips total for both parents and a significant other?

anyone know when one can get health insurance during the training process? after IOE? or first day of training??

Travel benefits from the first day of class for you/parents/significant other. 24 one way passes per year for the parents and if you're not married, then your significant other takes from that bank too. Spouse/kids have unlimited. Pass bank resets Jan 1 every year.

I had my wife's insurance back when hired and switched later, so I'm not sure when it kicks in.

Standby travel. Ahhh, an excuse to wake up early, stand around the airport all day, then go home and get drunk!

if your going to try and non rev at eagle get used to the jumpseat.. well if your trying to go to florida from anywhere get used to the jumpseat..

that bad eh? Why is that... just tighter packed planes? Also why is it that American charges you to non-rev in the back and wont let you use the jump seat unless all the seats are full?

As stated before parents and spouse split 24 passes, what a lot of people dont know is that you can list a "travel companion" girlfirend, buddy, sister, brother, dosent matter, they do take out of the bank, but they also get four D1(high priority) standby.
