Does Bell South have a flight dept and where are they based? I saw an ad for a job on planejobs.com, but the local reply address doesn't exist and was wondering if the ad was bogus. Thanks.

They are based at Fulton CO, GA. They have a beautiful facility. I know they use a Dornier 328 has a corp. shuttle, but I'm not sure what else they fly. Good luck....

They have a beautiful Dornier as well. I always judge how far I am ahead or behind schedule when I hear them on Atlanta Center Frq. going into Birmingham. I usually end up just taking a visual behind them but still pretty cool. Seems that's all they do though, twice a day. Fulton Co. ===> Birmhingham. Good luck.

In addition to the Dork, BS operates a pair of DA900s and a Citation Excel.

Their coporate hangar was once (and may still be) considered the Taj Mahal of hangars. I've been in it several times for seminars (they rent out office space to various aviation groups). If I'm not mistaken, RJR built the hanger serveral years ago before closing that department.

Some of the tightest security I've seen for a 91 operation. You won't get past the lobby without a reason and a security badge!

It's more than twice. On more than one occasion I've seen them land at BHM, leave, and land again while waiting for my boss when he's 2 hours late for an 8 a.m. departure.

I don't know the exact number of roundtrips they do each day, but I'm guessing it's at least 5.

They called me for an interview last month. They said that you had to apply on-line at their website by July 27, 2004. They were looking for a Captain for something (I didn't ask because I wasn't interested). I guess this could be a new position that you saw.

BS in FTY

BS is heading down the EASy road like Lowes' if you know what I mean?

We don't know what you mean...do tell.

I know the DO-328 is the position that they are interviewing for right now. I believe they hire everyone in through the Dork. Someone correct me if I am misinformed.

I think that what is meant by the EASy road means that some new Falcon with the Easy cockpit maybe. Just my guess. I do not what that has to do with Lowe's though. Maybe they just got some new Falcon's also.

Sweeeeeeeeet!!!

It means that Lowes ordered (2 I believe) DA-900 EASy aircraft, and BS may be replacing their DA-900B's with the same.

Just a word of suggestion.........don't walk..............run away from an interview here.

Guys,

Sounds like someone who applied for the job trying to scare off potential competitors.

BS has always had a good reputation in Atlanta. I have not heard anything bad about working there.

NOT a good place to hang your hat

The director is an ex Blue Angel that thinks he is God's gift to aviation and the coporate world in particular. I would work there if my family was going hungry, but that is the only way I would put up with that prima donna a$$hole. BTW, I met the guy and he is everything that he was cracked up to be.

As said before...

Want to know about Bell South flight department? - call em up,talk to the Chief Pilot.

Still interested? - send a resume, go the interview, ask questions..

then make a decision.

All it will cost you is the drycleaning of a suit.
