Got a trip to belize. Anybody have any hotel suggestions?

Also I've heard cingular isn't working there anymore but the international part of the website isn't saying anything about it.

Gracias.

Diesel,

Done a couple of trips in and out of Belize City but never overnight. Airport operations are much like Mexico but the ASI security briefing was not very complimentary to Belize City. Feedback from friends who've stayed in town not very good either. Always looking over the shoulder.

Once you get out to the reef to a dive resort though, great time to be had.

Did a sailing trip out of Placentia in the south a couple years ago. Friendly people and great sailing. Infrastructure is still a little primitive in the south but friendlier and safer. Lots of gringo money moving into the country and lots of improvements underway.

Enjoy the Bellikin.

San Pedro instead of B-City

I'd hop over to San Pedro if you have more than 1 night. Stay at Ramone's- tiki style and very nice.

Still trying to find out about the cell phone stuff

We are fueling in BZE and then continuing on dirinango (sp) in bze. Supposed to be like the wild west.

Diesel, how soon are you going?

I've got a friend of a friend who lives on the mainland and flies out to the islands daily. PM me for details.

Hope you enjoy the trip, dude! :pimp:
