From the Colgan MEC

"There has been a lot of information given out to ALL of the employees of Colgan Air concerning “how much money we are losing.” We have made it quite clear to our management team that when we start talking about costing our contract, we aren’t interested in where we are financially or where we have been. We are negotiating our contract on where we are going as an airline with our growth plan.

We are worth a lot more than our current pay rates and work rules indicate. Don’t lose sight of that as we enter the next phase of our contract talks."

Mis pilotos y pilotas,

This is a critical point in IMHO. We will have to live with the contract we agree to for years and as this company grows and transitions it will have occasional bad financial statements. I guarantee you the smart folks in Memphis did not invest in Colgan to lose money. This is going to be a wildly profitable business. I'm also pretty certain they are going to pull out every play in the book to try to get us to accept a cheap contract. That is their job. Our job is to get smart on the subject, stay informed and stay unified as we fight for what we deserve.

Buene chance my amigo but it's always hard to change the business philosophy of a bottom feeder. Southwest, Fedex, and UPS pilots were able to do it because their management ran out of places to hide how much money they were making off their pilots. I'm pretty sure Colgan is not at that place yet, so your management will argue to remain compettive to Colgan light which is Commutair or really anyone that will be able to fly Qs for current Colgan rates including colgan pilots. The what we deserve crap goes on deapth ears, they want you to preferably fly for free.
