I have a friend at Express jet who was supposed to upgrade this summer but with the age 65 rule it has been pushed back 2 to 4 years. He has 3100 total and 1600 jet and is thinking about getting his ATP in a seminole so he can apply to the fractionals. Are people getting hired at netjets with just an ATP and no turbine PIC or even a type? Also for myself interested to hear if citationshares or flexjet would be interested in that. Thanks for the help.

Those are the times I had when Hired at CS. If you meet the mins apply. With CS the more persistant you are the more likely you'll receive a call for the interview. Even without the ATP I would make contact by filling out the online app. Once you have the ATP update your profile. You might then receive a call for interview.
Clear as mud?

Flexjet will hire with the ATP written only if they have a strong candidate. We have a lot of ex-regional pilots here. The frax industry is a good place to be right now.

If he's interested in NetJets and meets the minimums (which obviously includes having an ATP), then he's got a chance. As always, having a recommendation helps, especially with the competition lately.

On top of qualifying for NetJets or some of the other fractionals, having an ATP could be a real benefit for your friend if he is looking to move onward from Express Jet. The expense of getting the ATP may also be tax deductible, but you'd have to check with an accountant to verify that.

I just interviewed and everyone had at least a type and 4K plus TT. I have 6600 and 4 type ratings. My sim partner had 9000 from Am Eagle. CRJ CApt. I will let you know who gets hired. All different types old and younger but no military. Not one.

Have your friend get the ATP and get the app in, Once you make it to the interview you will have as much of a chance as anyone.
Its a personality check, and in the sim looking at CRM and your basic flying abilities. Oh yea the sim they use for interviews is crap. Everyone is equal in that pile of junk.

That sounds like my qualifications when I got hired. Same total time, no type, no PIC turbine. I went to All ATP's and did the 3 day ATP course. Best $2K I've ever spent and it is tax deductible. I did get hired last October before IBB so your mileage may vary.
