I have been out of flying for a while. I have like 2500 TT and close to 300 ME ATP CFI-I MEI. I am current but I have not flown but a few hours in the last 2 years or so. Do I stand a chance? Anyone out there that would hire me?

You probably got out for a good reason. I did the same thing out with a medical for two years. Do yourself a favor and stay out. If you are married and or have kids, don't even think about it.

Try Republic Airways. They just hired some guys with anywhere between 2700 and 10,000 hours who haven't done much flying in anywhere from 2 - 10 years. Mainly furloughed part 121 guys.

At bare minimum you must be instrument current and all that jazz.

Compass is hiring as well with those times as long as you have a 4 years degree. Something our Chief Pilot requires now, even though he doesn't have one himself. Oh well.

Ive sent out at least 600 resumes since October of 2010. I've gotten a total of 1 on site interview, 1 phone interview, 1 offer for a regional interview.

3950 total, 820 turbojet, 1700 turbine, and 3100 PIC.

Yah, the industry sucks ass. Your results may vary.

What made you get out intially? Did you get drunk, steal the company Lear, buzz the white house, then land at Andrews? I thought they were back down to hiring anybody with 1000 hours and a pulse.

Thats probably the problem. I've heard it referred to as "betweener". To much time for the regionals, not enough time for career positions.

Lack of LearJet jobs, and that compounded with not being current in the lear and no other types is probably whats dooming me.
