Last I heard ...

Cappi had a 2 year / 15K plan. Pro-rated / month.

After 1 year = $7500 ...

I guesss to keep low timers from grabbing a few hundred hours jet time and jumping ship. Not really sure the reason, but others are doing it.

I think World had a 20k plan. Amerijet does too I think.

It beats 'pay for training'. Truth is, most carriers just pay poop for the first year to recoupe training costs ... it all works out to be the same in the end ...

If anyone knows of others ... toss it out ...

Well, if I had interviewed and been offered a training date at CCIA, maybe I would be worried. But, I have had neither of the above happen, so I am feeling okay about it! Not to worry, I am flying the Lear 35 in a two pilot cockpit beginning July 5. So, hopefully that will help me with the training at Capital if and when I get a slot there.

If and when matie?? I thought you knew Petie Foxx personally!!

So let me get this straight?? Your going to have airnet spend money to train you on another airplane, then jump ship right after that to fly for Cappy?? Me parrot says your about as usefull as barnicle on the hull of the HMS Feathersword!!

Shiver me timbers, I hope you got a great insider, a short call to extension five would take care of you!! AAARRRRGGGGG!!

Well, my sources tell me that there won't be any jumping ship to Cappy anytime soon. I understand there will not be a FO class for 3-4 months minimum. Also, we are going under the assumption that I will survive the interview and be offered a class. Knowing Peter Fox just got my resume in the door. Beyond that, I assume it is up to me to make it through an interview and training. What is extension five?

Back to the thread topic, what's going to happen to ATI? I see they're advertising for F/O's.

Thanks

Peace

Ati..

We at ATI were caught off guard also. We are in the process or hiring 8 FO's and I don't know where they will come from. During our last contract the PFE's got 20k to get licenses and upgrade. 10 or so have done it. But we recently got a new CP and he is not waving the 750 min to upgrade from Switch Biatch to Bird Deflector. We have 4 combi's that keep busy in the Pacific and the east coast for AMC and the other 70's in the BAX operation. Only time will tell what happens. The big question is who will buy BAX and will ATI come with it. In the past, Brinks tried really hard to tell us we are a separate entity from BAX but from the article on TWSJ said BAX had a fleet of 18 airplanes and that's what we have.
