Finally talked the wife unit into sitting in an underpowered airplane for a trip to Mexico. Any suggestions or hints on hotels, destinations, fuel tips etc.?

You are welcome. Have fun...but just make sure to check ahead for fuel at your planned stops. I just talked to a guy that came back in his 210, and he said San Felipe ran out of fuel again, stranding some folks. It seems to be a regular occurrence there, as I had the same problem when I used to fly a piston down there in the late 90s.
