I knew that Marines exhibited that level of leadership, but I never expected it from a Squid.

Ah, he was probably a corpsman, you know those guys are allright! Or maybe he was a helo...

What I am saying is that the cockpit doorway is not IMHO the place to deal with political issues...

I am also suggesting that those that may use the jumpseat to further their personal agendas are doing more harm than good...

Old Piedmont - Riding JS with 4 other pilots out of Dayton after the Indy 500. The chain smoking, white haired good guy captain gave us all a ride in the cockpit. The flight was S/O. The Gay boy F/A cracked the door and stated "Oh a party, I'll go freshen up and will be back with drinky poo's". Capt. said "Close the door Reggie, their not your type".

acaTerry,

I have two brothers that are both retired Corpsmen and as navy types go they aren't too bad. :p

46Driver,

Thankyou, I appreciate that.

Squids are pros too!! :D

Jumpseat Shuffle

First, I echo a majority of the points of others, I have never been denied JS because of some CA's bad attitude, rather they all have been most helpful, even offering up crew meals, what I do miss is being able to actually sit in the jumpseat and catch up on their point of view of whats going on in their world, of course the worse part is not getting to go home because the back was full, but hopefully that will change soon.

PS Hats off to SWA gate agents, they worked me in on a flight that was almost ready to close their doors, and I was not even listed because my flight was delayed, they are truly a class act and quick typists!
