with the older Gore falling out of the spotlight, why would anyone give this any coverage?

Bush's daughters on the other hand, happen to be offsprings of the sitting prez, hence the hoopla

(none rival the ugliness of chelsey though, but they do come close)

Al Gore, former VP, is probably coaxing his son, Al Gore, III, to get in all this trouble (speeding, reckless driving, DUI, pot) so he can get some of that publicity he so desperately needs.

Chelsea

I met Chelsea in 2001 - she seemed to be a really nice kid, and of course she made good grades at Stanford (not exactly a diploma mill)

She also looked pretty nice. (She won't make any calendars or anything but you'd be surprised how nice she looked. Perhaps a good makeover artist?) At any rate I wouldn't look for her to be hangin' in the lounge with Algore's kid or the Bush girls doin gel shots, etc

Actually I'm surprised how apparently normal and bright she's turned out to be despite her parents. Wonder which one of them had the "birds & bees" talk with her

GW's had a 50% or better approval rating since he took office (at one point it was in the high 80's). As a side note these polls, when conducted by CNN or USA today, are are taken in areas that are heavily Democratic. Even the Dems are giving him good ratings.

So why don't you quit making retarted posts?

Give me a break. We all know that was right after 9/11. Anybody would have struck back at Afghanistan because the whole country demanded it. Remember when the whole country was completely unified for about 2 weeks after 9/11? After that we went back to the partisan bickering. And bush's approval rating went back down with it.

My point is that bush ain't high and mighty just becasue his approval rating went to 80% for a week.

I think high & fly will not realize what is factual and what is not.. He is one of the many who buy into the propaganda, fortunately 04" will be here soon enough. Take a look at the polls other than at the times you choose to do so.

I don't dispute that his approval rating is currently at 50% or better. If you take the time to scroll up and stop making wise cracks about how Dems operate you'll see that the first few posts were making bush look like some world renowed leader that we all need to lead us to the promised land. And if you want numbers, look back in any newspaper archives right after 9/11 and you'll see that his approval rating skyrocketed right after 9/11 to about 80% and now, it's never been back there since. I think it's a bad sign when thousands of people protest a presidents policies in the streets wherever he goes.
 
If you Dem's can't find someone better than Dean it's all over but the cryin'. Bush will be re-elected, then your savior Hillary will be there to comfort you in '08. God help us all if she wins, the queen of all appeasers would tear down this country piece by piece.

Your logic is almost funny. You keep telling us that Bush's approval rating was in the high 80's only after 9-11. That is true.

But I'm completely perplexed by your argument. You're saying that since his approval rating is currently in the 60's that he is unpopular? Or that Americans are dissatisfied with him?

I have not idea what you are trying to argue. Are you trying to convince us that he is not a good President because his approval rating is better than 50%?

BTW...These polls are typically gathered in Democrat biased areas. So it's more accurate to say that he has a 50%+ approval rating among Democrats.

It sounds to me like you just want to take a stab at GW but you don't have any really convincing case to do so. It also sounds to me like you just don't like the fact that GW is President and you rely on the "I don't like him therefore he is bad" arguement.

I keep making cracks about Dems because you make it so easy for me to do it.

Oh...and just so you know...I don't give a rats a$$ what people in Europe think. We don't exsist to please them.
 
If you want to use the argument that because Bush's approval numbers have slipped to the 50's, therefore he will loose in 04 provide historical proof that similar numbers are indicative of loosing the election. Clintons approval rating was 47 in 1995 (his highest ever was 62 in 1997) lower than Bush's. Clinton blew Dole out of the water in 96. So what is your point Q200?
