So what should be the average or normal for a past record. Are only the perfect specimens getting jobs or interviews?

After reading my "rap sheet" I felt like a scofflaw. No DWI, DUI, careless, reckless, no criminal stuff, never touched a drug in my life. But lord forbid they catch you doing 40 in a 30. I don’t know any pilot that does not live large, skydivers, racecar drivers, aerobatics, motorcycles, the list goes on and on.

So after you list your multiple speeding tickets, seatbelt tickets, minor alcohol possessions, do the airlines just put your app in the garbage?

Not at all - keep in mind that the airlines are concerned about trends.

If you've gotten 12 speeding tickets in the last two months, then there's cause for alarm.

I used to work at a major and the company sent me for an expensive training for an operational class. While on my last day of training, i came back and gave my two weeks notice in. A week later, the manager told me that i was suspended until further notice for a week. I only had a week left. She made a charge that i wasted company time and money. I agree with their concerns but i never knew that a certain company would hire me. I stayed professional and game my two week notice but they didnt care. Now they said that i am not-rehirable. I am afraid that during my background check, i will get a bad recommendation from a previous employer. I have worked for approximately 7 companies and this is the first time where i am not rehirable. Should i be worried?

It's really tough for me to talk about your situation with any confidence as I don't know the details. And I certainly understand not wanting to air them here. It depends on what company is interviewing you and what company you are talking about here. Some companies actually pick up the telephone for a recommendation, others do not. Some utilize written forms, yet others do not. But ALL airlines must comply with the PRIA and obtain former training records.
