B777 with a Canard?

Yep, Boeing's always doing something with their testbed aircraft- be it airborne laser defense or new command and control stuff a-la AWACS. Nice photo though.
 
The aircraft is the original 757 prototype. They've been using it as a testbed for various projects for years. The 'canards' are essentially the wing tips for the F-22, and they've been using it to test various ECM configurations for the Raptor.

I had a Rolls Canardly once. It was a nice looking car, but its performance sucked. For the most part it rolls down one hill; canardly make it up the next one.
 
If you do a search for 767 pictures at Seattle's Boeing Field on airliners.net you will see another interesting test bed.

I think it was for the Joint Strike Fighter competition that Boeing lost.
