B757 with Canard???!!!

Just saw a B757 on approach for RWY 33L at BWI. I believe it is the test ship that Northrup/Grumman uses. It had a Canard wing mounted up front. Anybody else ever see this bird flying?

I have seen the same ship before while taxiing out at BWI with an oversized radome before, but this really takes the cake!
 
They are not canards, they are experimental mounts for the front landing gear. You see, Boeing has decded that the 757 doesn't look quite awkward enough yet (with those long gear legs) and that they needed to be longer.

.....to make comments like that about one of the prettiest planes ever built!!!

You must be one of those XBOX/Airbus types......hey, but it looks good on you though!!!
