Continental Airlines
says that all flights from its hub at Newark Liberty International are cancelled through noon (Eastern Time - Saturday, March 17) with the exception of the carrier's 11:10am departure to Tokyo Narita (NRT). That's Continental Flight 09.
A Delta Air Lines spokesman told Cheap Flight News that “we're slowly resurrecting the [New York] operation”.
Today, 240 of the airline's flights are cancelled. That compares with some 600 yesterday. The spokesman says Delta hopes to be operating normally by Sunday. The carrier has a major international gateway at JFK, and a busy operation at LaGuardia (LGA).
Discount airline JetBlue cancelled 30 early morning flights from its JFK hub, but a spokeswoman says: “the rest of the day looks good.” Yesterday, the discount airline axed more than 200 flights.

Why is it when there is a Jetblue bashing party there are 4 pages of posts? Today, it looks like we have our crap together and all you here are the crickets chirping!!

Don't forget that US Airway's spokesperson took the opertunity to jab JetBlue and announce "The Weather is Fine for Flying", but then went on to cancel more than a 1,000 flights.

Why not send an email to the US Airways spokesperson and ask why they cancelled 1,000 flights if "the weather is fine for flying"

I did. He wrote back.

When I first received the call (420 MST) ATC had minimal delays and we
hadn't cancelled any flights. By the time the story was published
roughly 3 hours later the storm center was dumping ice pellets and rain
in PHL and LGA creating a ground stop and we were canceling flights.
USA Today issued an update to the story.

He's full of crap. I saw the ground stop text on the FAA's website yesterday.

It specifically said that the ground stop to PHL was "carrier requested" by Airways and ONLY affected USAirways and all affiliated flights due to "lack of ramp space".

Guys, shut the hell up!!
Airways pilots treat JB pilots great. A lot of us commute on them. Jesus Christ, have a little class.

The Pig.
