B-2 Hiring
Yes, there are plenty of B-2 pilots that flew the B-52/B-1, and a few fighter types. But as of late (the past couple years), the B-2 community has been open to any fixed-wing pilot.
Minimum hiring qualifications include 500 hours total time to be a mission pilot (ie copilot) and somewhere around 1,500 hours to be a mission commander (ie aircraft commander). Last summer, we had one of our C-21 pilots get picked up to go fly the B-2, and there are a few ex-heavy (C-5, C-17, KC-135, etc) pilots flying it now. There are two more guys applying this spring.
I think to get into the B-2 from traditional avenues (ie via AFPC) you'd need a bomber background. But the interview process will look at anyone with 500 airplane hours, regardless of what you flew.
