Honesty is the best policy so I've been told.

I'd say your chances of getting a look from AWA are pretty slim without a LOR. Not impossible, but not improbable. I'd also have to say your total time is a little slim. I think the low time person in my class had around 4000 hrs.

As it stands today, PHX is the only crew base, rumor has it LAS will be announced shortly. Live here or not, you will have a two hour callout when on reserve. Packing up the family is your call, depends on the commute I suppose. Reserve depends on what airplane you are on. I've heard as little as 6-7 months for the Airbus. I think the 737 and 757 have longer reserve periods? Most of the sim instructors are senior F/O's and they've all been around 5 to 7 years. It looks like they are all pretty close to an upgrade bid......if they wanted it. Training seems to be taking about 2 1/2 months from first day to IOE.
