To those of you who use the Extended Stay America in CLT I would avoid it. I have been told on many occasions when I thought I might need a room that I wouldn't need to call to cancel if it turned out that I didnt need the room. This time however the lied to my face and said "If you dont show by 10 p.m. we'll just release the room and wont charge you" Well they did charge me and now are refusing to give me my money back. Just be forewarned.

Such is life I guess. I imagine if you check their written policy, you have to call and cancel by a certain time. You made a reservation, you expected a room to be available for you, why shouldn't the hotel get paid for keeping a room available?

I'm assuming you didn't pay a higher rate to get a refundable anytime room?
