We are planning to get into the GA avionics business. We want to start slow with one tech and doing transponder and pilot/static checks. The technician that I talked to said that we won't need Part 145 certification to start out with because he will be personally signing these things off.

At what point we won't need P145 certification? What does that involve? At one point it will make sense for us to invest in heavly expensive test equipment?

Thanks..
