Does anyone have any experience with doing business with the ads in the back of the popular aviation trade rags, ie AOPA PILOT, Flying, Flight Training, etc.
To be more specific,
1) Aerial Photography
2) Aircraft Appraiser
Basically, any of the Business Oppotunity type of ads.
I'm relatively sceptical, they have been in the back of the magazines forever. They claim not to be "get rick quick scheme's", although that is not what I am looking for. Simply wondering if these ads are viable and worth putting forth any effort for.
Like many other pilots on the board, Iam hardly flying at all, and I guess Iam just trying to get creative, at the same time I do not want to seem gullible or naive. Besides I have time not only am I not flying, also unemployed

I did a search on the board and found 1 thread that is over a year old and had no replies, so I thought I would try again and add something new to read on the board.
