EAA Sport Aviation. While I was an IAC member I liked reading Sport Aerobatics. But I got sick of it constantly being 3-4 months late, or not coming at all.

I do like AOPA's Flight Training Magazine, it's pretty good IMO. Never really dug AOPA's main rag.

Flying Mag

jbDC9,

I couldn't agree more! I spend most of my time "scanning" through flying mag instead of reading the articles. You took the words right out of my mouth about Richard Collins.

Hey Chunk, about your signature ("...so I got that going for me...which is nice."). What's that from? It sounds familiar, but I don't remember where I heard it.

Flying - Dick Collins

jbDC9, you forgot part of what Collins always writes about. He goes from here to there in his P210 PRESSURIZED Centurion, with three panel-mounted GPS navigators, plus a Garmin handheld on the yoke, along with the Stormscope, radar, data-uplink to an MFD, etc, etc. And could his dissertations on weather get any more boring? The guy knows way too much. I've got over 11000 hours and I know very little about weather. I guess what little I know is good enough though...haven't been killed yet.

I prefer Airways Magazine these days. It's all airline-related material...usually lots of good pics and articles. Sometimes the European stuff gets a bit tiresome. Funny thing though...the cover banner used to say 'The World's Favourite Civil Aviation Magazine'. So I emailed the editor basically saying 'what gives with the European spelling? You guys are published in Idaho...' So the editor himself (J. Wegg) emails me back with an explanation. Lo and behold, the August issue is now the worlds 'Favorite' magazine. Hmmm, coincidence?

I'll second the vote for Smithsonians' Air & Space magazine, always a good choice.

Bill Murray in Caddyshack, classic!;)

The dalai lama promised me that I'll receive total enlightenment on my death bed....or something like that.
