I don't know if this is the best place for this message but anyway here goes. What is a good way to get into aviation consulting?
Have any of you started your own consulting businesses on the side?

O.K. I don't have any advice, but thought I would share that I am starting to look into this as well. I currently fly cargo, but also have a masters in Aviation Safety that I have never used. I have talked with our safety director about some options, and have a freind (who has a freind... :) who is in the aviation consulting business.
I check this board from time to time, if anything interesting comes up, I'll let you know.

I'm very curious -- what kind of aviation consulting are you guys talking about? I've met some aviation consultants, but they'reall over the map -- from guys who help airports project future traffic to ones who crunch numbers to see which airlines are healthy and which are on the edge to ones who study the fractionals.
