I've been searching and am unable to find a range for:

91/135 GV SIC pay and what if its a G550?

Thanks for the help....looking for a new ride.

depends.....for someone with 2500 hrs it probably wouldn't matter if it was a gv or a hawker or a Lj. :) and i don't mean that in a bad way.

It doesn't really matter how much TT I have, the Q is about the position.

Let's say I took the position for 25K, all posters would tell me I'm an aviation w*hore and I was bringing the industry to a new low.

Just looking for some help

newsflash- the compensation of that position is most probably determined by said applicants experience. 2500 tt says to me probably no G exp, no rating, no intl exp so it would matter. and i wouldn't call you a w*hore. i would call you lucky. :)

No, that low has been set a long time ago. There are plenty of bizjet pilots who fly for 25K/yr when they should be making 75K or better....they are called Fractional Pilots. You wouldn't be charting any new ground here, dont worry...but they do have Union Protection. To me that alone would be worth at least 50K a year....right?

and walking in to a good GV positin with 2500 hrs and airline experience...questionable but good for you if true....and yes, I would be curious about the pay if you are the chosen applicant...

just reality!

You are unbelievable. Someone comes in here and asks a legit question and all you can talk about is his total time. Get over yourself! I'll be glad when the old farts get out of this game.

ok, point taken...50-60k based on less than average experience :)

...i feel your pain pupcake, your day will come.

What part of the country? $25k exists in FL at a 135 op. There are some lowball 135 outfits in LA, too. 91 gets you in the range Speed and fido are talking about.

PM Duderino. He'll give you some good dope.TC

You would be a wh0r3. Don't pay for training for a specific company to get a job. It misses things up.

You would be a wh0r3. The reason why is you are applying for the G550 GIII job on Climbto350.com. Which, unless you have training and are current in one of these planes, and you're not, you must pay for training. On top of it all making $hit for pay. If I am right, and I think I am, I will tell you, go to he!! for even thinking about taking that job. Not only are you paying for your own training to get a job, but you are driving the already horrible pay in South Florida down. So go back to Caracas, or where ever you came from.

That about sums it up folks. He's dead on. Anyone who takes a GV position for 25K/yr deserves to get thier a$$ kicked...and I volunteer. Keep that garbage at your regional airline....and the place selling this position? thats gotta be a real special outfit, eh?

Duderino gets free drinks all night.

G200-

If this is true, I agree with you. But where does this guy say that he will be paying for training? Furthermore, where is there a job on a GV for 25k a year? The guy would'nt be asking for avg pay if he/she was taking a job for 25k. Am I missing something? Everyone needs to chill out, take two steps back, and put down the pipe. Or at least pass it to me.:)

5 posts into this thread he asks about taking a Gulfstream job for 25K/yr.

my rant was in agreement with duderino who was wondering if this "applicant" was refering to the climbto350.com ad for a PFT G550/GIII SIC in South Florida.

All Im saying is that if he takes a G550 job at 25K/yr he needs a beating, and I for one would like to know WHO the operator is.

He provided no more info, so thats all we could go on..

Thanks for the answers.

To clarify, the job pay is 45K. My scenerio was just that. I would asume that a LR/Citation pilot with low time would make 25K.

Personally, I thought the position would pay 75K. Furthermore, I realize that I am not a 5000+, 10000+, or 15000+ time pilot and the pay is right.

Some of you high time guys think us low-timers are wasting your oxygen, but you fail to see that there are more of us, trying to find the next big thing.

So its 45K....not great but maybe gets you moving up the ladder. It is also important to get a charter/corp job in front of that RJ job, so maybe its a good move..even at lower than expected pay.

All that said, thats barebones dollars (to say the least) in the Gulfstream crowd, lets hope you dont have to "finance" school at those prices--????

good luck!
