just out of curiousity...saw the article in the nashville paper about averitt expanding their facility at BNA. just wondering if anyone flies for them and can comment on what it's like to work there. thanks!

I have heard of a trucking company named averitt, but not of an operator named averitt. It doesn't mean theres not one though.

one and the same as far as i know...they are a huge trucking company, and have what looks to be a pretty decent sized charter and/or cargo fleet operating out of nashville intl.

check your pm for an answer to your other question...

Averitt has a part 135 company at BNA. They fly Lear 31/35. I know several guys who applied there including myself. One pilot is current on the 35 and has a 8410. They kept putting him off.
They fly alot of the music singers in Nashville.

I might have this worded wrong, but here goes.

A part 135 company has a LR jet. You need a check ride from the feds or check airman. You need this recurrency check every 12 months for SIC and I am not sure about the PIC, believe its 6 months.

fleet

I don't think that they have a big fleet iof aircraft but they do have a maintenance operation.

8410 is the FAA form for your 135 checkride...
