Average Flying hrs. as a CFI??

Just out of curiosity since Good weather is upon us..............
...........How many Flying hours are You averaging per month as a CFI???

In the southwest US:

I bill approximately 80 hours a week, working 5 days/week. There was a guy here on the last paycheck that billed 136! For two weeks! That's 56 hours of overtime....

If I wanted to bill more (and normally do) I'll work another day or so.

Suffice to say its not all flight time, but also ground and sim. I've averaged 90 hours of flying over the last 8 months. However, before coming to a 141 school, I flew only 40-50 hours a month, and would bill about that much as well.

for me it's been around 45 hours a month in the midwest, plus usually 30 some ground. the most was 65 flight in the summer, but it's only been 30 for a couple months this year when it was ifr nearly all the time. salary is nice during the winter.

Edit: I'm talking actual flight time, not ground or unpaid work.

As I'm part 61 now I'll get about 50-60 in the summer and 20-30 in the winter.

When I was flying pt 141 I averaged 11 year round.

Got to love the warm weather showing up, that always brings the dormant students out, especially in the midwest and northern states that are affected by cold crappy weather.

i'm in the midwest. i average about 65/month.. Oklahoma can get kinda boring though! Oh well, it adds up. good actual at that!

120 hours in a month? I worked 105 once and thought I was going to die.

As an Omaha CFI I was averaging 40 hours a month my first year, then 80-90 after the floodgates opened and everyone else quit.

During my entire 28 months as an active CFI, I rolled up an average of 56hrs per month over that time. That doesn't include any ground time, of course, of which there was a good amount as I was doing a lot of progress checks and such, not to mention the inconsistent weather... and I was also averaging 11hrs/mo over that time flying corporate for the same company.

Long Island flight school, not 141 but it was run like it was.

Just went back and looked, and my high month was 106.5 hours, though that included some personal flying. Only three more months were over 90hrs...
