I'm curious...the people that are complaining about Mark's rules...did you donate to the web site when Mark asked for donations to keep it running?

I must admit that I recently emailed a complaint about Avatars to the moderator. I am mature enough not to be offended by certain pictures, and I can avert my eyes if I choose. But I have two main reasons for complaining:

1. The avatars got so bad that I couldn't read the message boards at home when my children were awake.

2. I was reading the boards one day in the airport business center when I realized that people behind me could easily get the wrong idea about what I was viewing. Being in uniform, I couldn't take that risk.

As I said before, I don't get all bent out of shape about the avatars, but I also don't see the point of some of them. This website is not a venue for horny teens, but rather aviation enthusiasts.

there is no need to have nude photos of men or women as an avatar

which i believe most of us (except perhaps a few 'bad eggs') have been adhereing to, but apparently that isn't sufficient....
