Avatar issues

Hello all,

I'm new here and just wondering and I'm having trouble putting a custom avatar. It's from a website and is a .gif file. I went through the whole "Edit Options, change avatar" pages and it won't load. Any ideas. Thanks.

I'm guessing the file you are trying to use is too big. You can compress it for free with the pegasus jpeg wizard. (just type it into a search engine, I'm too lazy to look up the link for you.) For the thumbnail max width/height, put 145. Then save the resulting thumnail image. It should upload just fine.
