I was just hired with about 3000 total time, 1200 multi including 700 Lear SIC. The interviewer told me I was competitive because I had 135 experience, Lear experience (apparently the Piaggios fly like a Lear), and that I lived in the DFW base (they are trying to hire more non-Florida base guys).

Seems like a superb company, the interview was fair and to the point. I sure like the idea of working for a company that has some of the fastest and most FUEL EFFICIENT airplanes, especially with the cost of oil now.

By the way, are you Avantair guys having to wear a uniform or are you able to get away with a business casual type getup????

I just sent my stuff in via snail mail in a large flat envelope with a good cover letter. Got a call back in about 3 weeks.

You and I are pretty alike. Except that when they hired me I only had about 2800 TT, Elizabeth told me even though I was a bit low on the total time the 750 hours in a lear, UNS experience, glass experience and 135 made me competitive. And yeah it is similar to the lear in some aspects. But not toooo similar, one thing I can tell you is that you can handle a lear you can sure a heck handle a lear. This airplane is very fast and efficient but it's not nearly as "agressive" as the lear, so you'll be ok for sure.
Oh yeah, and yes we do wear the shirt, tie and epaulets. I really wish that all we wore was a nice polo type shirt and nice pants. That would be awsome.

Say what?
