B-J-J,

I have found that it really depends on where you live!! Now that we are on a 7 on 7 off its a mix. Half of the time I fly out to the airplane and fly a few legs and the other half I just airline. At the end of a trip I have always flown at least a few legs before going home.

If you live in the middle of the country IE Dallas, Denver, Chicago etc. It is much easier for the company to get you home at the end of the tour. Even then you find them "asking" for overtime every few tours.

Is the ATP required, or will they hire with just the ATP written? I have all of the other minimums, with about 2000 hrs of 121 mulit-turbine. How easy is it to get based in DEN? Do you think they will ever open up a MSP base? Any info would be great.

I didnt have my ATP when I was hired but from what I have seen I was someone who sliped through the cracks. It is my understanding that you have to have your ATP.

I dont think getting DEN would be much of an issue but I cant say %100.

No idea about MSP. Ask if you get called for an interview.

Upon upgrade (at the beginning of your second year) do you start at the 2nd year captain pay like most other carriers or do you start over again at the 1st year pay bracket???

2nd year pay in addition to the $5,000 upgrade bonus.

To be fair, it's one $5,000 bonus. It happens around the 1 year mark so most people count it as part of their 1st year pay (to bring up that low number).

I know what you meant and I'm sure most people understand.

Planes come at 1.5 per month.

Choose wisely grasshopper.

LOL, thanks for the qualifier of 3 every two months. I was going to ask how senior you have to be in order to fly the .5 airplane.
