If unions put airlines out of business... I better sell my SWA and FEDEX stock

As for SWA management, they certainly get my respect. As for FEDEX, they drop 100 bucks, only to find 1000 laying in front of them. Heard Fred Smith say he cant wait for the day when Boeing builds a plane with no cockpit windows (pilotless plane).

I wouldn't be surprised to find that most, if not all, companies employing pilots are looking forward to the day of the pilotless aircraft. I have a friend at Boeing who'd love to one day start an airline and not have to deal with pilots in any way. Curiously, his father is a retired Delta pilot...

I dream of a company that does not have a revolving door of overpriced, over rated CEO's, CFO's, and Presidents.

I could do half as ********************ty of a job of all those jokers for a quarter of the money. Please hire me and give me a try so I could go on leave as a consultant after 2 years and retire after 5 years. Oh ya I almost forgot the fringe benefits of chasing the secretary's around the office. :angryfire

Don't worry about pilotless aircraft, folks. If airline companies operate them, who would management have to blame when they crater the company?

Oh wait ...... I guess that would be all the rest of the employees. Then again, the industry is well on their way to eliminating cabin service altogether, out- sourcing maintenance and reservations, and automating baggage handling and check-in.

Maybe someday they could actually end up accountable to customers and share-holders! Nah...never happen.
