Just curious to see how the SOP's are written for the various fractionals - what level of automation does your company require you to utilize (coupled approaches mandatory, autopilot disconnect altitudes...)? Do the SOP's address whether it's a 91 or a 135 leg?
Thanks in advance.
Our SOP's don't really change for 91, 91K or 135. There are some different rules as far as performance, weather considerations, etc. but nothing that effects the actual SOP's.
The company wants us to be proficient in the use of the autopilot and flight director. However, we are instructed to reduce the level of automation if something malfunctions or performs against what we expect.
The Falcon 2000EX EASy is weighted heavily on automation, in training and on the road. We typically engage autothrottle, autopilot, and climb modes at 400'. The autopilot disconnect is usually on the final if its VFR. Most guys use the autothrottle to the threshold. When I got in this airplane, I was really suprised how little we get to "fly". Oh well. The food is good.......
