Thank you for having your engines running for more than twenty minutes while you did your single pilot Cessna crap. Blowing dust and rocks all inside of my engines, and ruining my golf bag. Thank you for ignoring me when I told you to move forward, in person and over ground freq. Thank you for ignoring the line guy that asked you to move. And I especially thank you for powering up as hard as you did to get out. That extra touch was heart felt.
All you little Cessna drivers do is clog up the system and now you have clogged up my engines. You had your head inside the cockpit doing a hundred things and not paying attention to anything going on around you. This is along the same line of you C500 pus s ies doing 150 knots 25 miless out on and arrival. And then there is the ego that comes along with you Single Pilot guys. The fact that you wouldn't even move and then overpowered when you got your clearance to taxi proves that your little tiny SP cessna job is probably the only one you could hold down. GO TO H E LL.

So what did you solo in, a Citation? Oh ,wait I see you've flown a 182, must have been the "turbine" version.

Wow your really on a tear here.

There ain't much you can do about pilots like the one you described except put your inlet covers in and hold onto your bags (or put them back in the aircraft).

Citation pilots are slow (like thier aircraft)

I never saw people take SO long to complete checklists while running on a ramp. Enlighten us....what in the world do you guys do for those 10-15 mins? study the departure? do it before you start. Are you whispering to each other how cool it is you are flying a jet? Is mommy teaching you how to use checklists? (Kid?)

Its a Citation guys, not the F'n Space Shuttle.

Get off the ramp with that noisy POS. Its bad enough you clog up final, try not to clog up the ramp.

yeah I don't get it. I used to just start 'em up and go. Everything can be done on the taxi. I mean, it's a CESSNA. A couple of switches (uh, lights) and THATS IT! Even the FMS was easy to program on taxi. Go figure.
 
well....

I dont condone programming FMS on the taxi - both heads up I say. But cant they be programmed before your pax come?

Citation I/II guys...enlighten us? WHAT are you doing in there?

Dunno what takes the old ones so long, the primus 1000 equipped Citations take forever to get the gyros stabilized. Move it before all the screens are up and it screws them all up. The system sucks too much juice to "boot" prior to engine start unless your hooked up to a GPU. So that would explain the long delay on the newer ones.

The Dornier had the same delay on the P-2000 but at least you had an APU for juice, most of the time.

At any rate in the event of gen failure, you have ten minutes of full screens until dead battery and it takes at least 5 minutes to get them booted so it does present a problem when doing a battery start.

I mostly just complete the check list and play with myself for the other 4 minutes and 30 seconds whilst I wait on the airplane to figure out that its an airplane.

Did you think that one up on your own? Lets see, single pilot taxiing, head down, reading a checklist and programing the FMS. Gee, maybe if you're lucky it will be you he plows into while he's not looking outside. Great idea.

Since a few of you have asked. Without AHRS/IRS it takes a few minutes for the gyros to spool up. I does help if you have a GPU, and/or get your clearance off the EMER Bus. No need to fire up both the engines to listen to ATIS.


Citations clogging up the system? Funny, we say the same thing about Lears. They always look like they're sitting still when we go by. :p

I would be very surprised if she even had sp authorization on her type(s).. I would also assume she was always part of a two person crew. Much different when you are running the show single pilot.

Hey guys lighten up, it was a JOKE! A little sarcasm, ya know? Geez....but I stand by my remarks that the aircraft is simple to fly and doesn't require any appreciable time on the ramp after start-up before taxi. The FMS can be programmed in advance.

I flew Citations single pilot for two years, BTW. I was never heads-down in the cockpit during taxi, but I could program the FMS, do checklists, talk on the radio, etc. I CAN multi-task. In low vis conditions, I agree it's best to do everything on the ramp before taxi. But VFR? Get off the ramp, stop making so much noise, and get on your way. It's not brain surgery, guys.
 
And I'm referring to a Citationjet, not a 501. I don't know what those guys have to do.
