The sad fact is that a vast majority of those furloughed at AA are probably never going back to "major" job at AA again. With JetBlue setting a new low for 100 seat airplane pay ($60k a year for CA and $30 for FO, no retirement), AMR will just dumb down the 100 seaters to AE compensation or find legal way to void out scope and just give the 100 seaters to the commuter division altogether. Then migrate the Super 80 flying to 100 stretch seaters. This is part of a long measured campaign to transfer domestic flying to commuter compensation. The JetBlues of the world are just making it go that much faster.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.

According to some we did it to ourselves. Shame on us evil pilots wanting the
pay we had. Remember it is all our fault, the pilot of the legacy carrier.

It is going down the tube and fast, and now that Hunter is office, he will give AMR whatever they want.
