Just a quick heads up for you former Mesa guys and gals. I got a note on my door today from the postman regarding a certified letter I have to sign for from MESA. Haven't picked it up yet, but word on the street is that they are going after those of us who left without paying off our training note.
I have been gone from Mesa for almost a year and thought that I had closed that horrible chapter in my life. Anyway, the amount of money that they have kept from me (my last pay check, my vacation time, and boatloads of sick time) more than covers the small amount left on my captains training note.
WTF over?? Are they that desperate for money? Any one else out there get this letter? Did you pay up? I'm not planning on it!

Don't pick it up. You don't have to. Tell the Postman to send it back 'unclaimed'.

I hate those fu(kfaces.

Mesa is bleeding pilots from what I hear (not many interested in Chinese domiciles). JO might have to sell some of his 10+ Harleys to pay the bills.

Make him take your ass to court!!! Anyone know if his daughter is 18 yet? I miss getting those Christmas cards! LOL

I'm so glad to be out of that hole. While I was there I tried to keep my critisim to a minimum. I try not to bite the hand that feeds me. However after being a good employee for over three years the only thing I got is not getting my final pay for over 3 months and not getting any response to my calls and e-mails. I finally got squared away after I threatened to go to the AZ Dept. of Labor. Yeah, they took out for my promissary note from moving over to the jet although I was hired as a street captain on the Dash.

Here is a little info I found on another site. I'm glad Mesa is still up to it's quality treatment of it's employees.

I got to the hotel in RDU at the end of my third day of a four-day trip. Checked in about 5:45 p.m. The flight attendant and I changed clothes and walked up the hill for dinner. When I got back to my room a little after 8 p.m., I found a note stating that I needed to call crew tracking stuck in the key-card slot to my door. I took out the note and tried to enter my room, but the code had been changed. I was locked out of my own room until I went to the front desk and they could verify that I called the company.
