I was asked this the other day and i don't know?

You take the atp test in feb of 03 and get hired by an airline in feb of 04 but you resign from the airline in jan of 05 does the test still stay current if you go to work for another airline if it is expired?

As far as I know, it doesnt matter if you take it before you are employed by a 121 carrier, as long as you are employed before it was set to expire, then it doesnt. If you leave the 121 carrier, then it expires. In your case, as long as you start working before the end of Feb 05, then it will still be good.

Would that same logic hold true for a F/E written test too?

I hope so! Mine is six years old

Not that I am going to need it for anything.

fedex requires the f/e written. Thats a good place to go for a regional puke like me!

As far as the regs say the written is only good as long as you stay working for the 121 carriers. If you took it in 2/03, it would remain valid forever with 121. If you quit in 1/05 and reemployed in 1/05 or 2/05 it would be valid, but if you did not get rehired till 3/05 it would totally be worthless.
