I'm re-studying for my ATP written and I'm using my old 2003 ASA study book to refresh. The back of the ASA book lists the total number of questions in the bank at a minimum of 1,300 questions, counting roughly.

But, I just downloaded the 2006 test bank straight from the FAA website and there are only 382 questions. What gives?? How can there be that much of a discrepency?

• Has the FAA cut down/revamped the test bank a lot lately?

• Does ASA keep a lot of old questions in there? I see there's only one question remaining in regards to the MLS system. The 2003 book has 10-15. I see some LORAN questions are also gone.

EDIT: I just looked up the 2006 and 2007 ASA Brand ATP books and they're both at about 500 pages. There's no way they stretched 382 questions into 500 pages. Where are all these extra questions coming from??
