It is almost demanded that any opinion other than complimentary be kept to private messages and emails. There are many readers on this message board in a position to damage another's career, or personally sue you for large amounts of funds because their feathers got ruffled.

AvWeb went bankrupt due to a lawyer that didn't like what their newswire said about him. Free press and all that, Avweb lost.

If you don't want opinions, then don't ask for them. If you are going to flame, find another forum. Trolls are not welcome here.

Maybe thats because they said someting negative about the lawyer, again if you would take the time to read so that you knew what you were talking about, then you would have seen that i did not "slander" anyone.

Thats a matter of opinion, as far as i am concerned, conversation on a given topic hopefully includes all views, good ,bad, nice, not nice, again I did not say anything about the person who posted the PM.

Anyone who thinks they have a case to sue me over posting a PM, without me saying a single negative word about the author is either a fool or has nothing better to do with themselves, in either case, bring it on, I'd love to see them explain how thier clients bad mouthing on a message board warrents monitary compensation, especially since I never agreed to keep thier views private nor was I asked too.

I do want opinions and that is why I asked for them, however, for the benifit of everyone else reading this topic, I will post any and all responces I recieve unless I am asked not too.

I appreciate your concern for my success, however, what you really need to do is to know what you are talking about before you give advice. Example: Slander ( as defined by the Oxford dictionary) a malicious, false, and injurious statement spoken about another person) I simply posted a PM that was sent to me without ever 1) agreeing not to post it. 2) Never being asked not to post it. and 3) never implying anything (good or bad) about the author.
In closing, my advice to you is to not worry about mine or anyone eles's success as you are obviously not in any position to do so.

Maria as a Communications major in college we took many Law classes dealing with the 1st amendment. Maria do you remember all of the nice things Larry Flynnt said about Jerry Falwell, it was pretty bad, but he won under 1st Amendment of Free Speech. Any one can sue for anything, but if you are expressing your opinion about some one then you can not be convicted on your opinion or what you think. The Avweb was more than what was said about a lawyer, it was just the straw that broke the camels back. Maria, try not to jump in here and step on peoples opinions, these ain't the greatest times in aviation and people need a place to vent sometimes. As times get better the Morale of the folks on the board will change. So in short...ZIP IT..

As per request by the author, the post has been deleted. In my opinion, the pupose of this forum is to share views and opinions and this was the reason I originally posted the PM I recieved. I will however respect anyones request not to post PM's as long as they ask me not to post them. Maria has a right to her opinion and I trully believe her original intent was good, but a little off base. I want to thank everyone who has posted comments on this board. Whether I agree with you or not, I appreciate them.
