Does anyone know of an examiner within the southeastern U.S. that owns their own twin and conducts ATP training/practicals. I know about ALL ATPs, but I'm exploring this option as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You're probably better off doing the 737 course at Higher Power Aviation http://jetcrew.com/ for 7 grand, you'll get 4K back from the GI Bill which totals about 3 grand out of your pocket and you get the 737 type and the ATP at the same time.
You either spend a couple grand learning to fly a Seminole and only getting the ATP (and as far as I know there are no GI Bill approved ATP only schools so you're out the whole 2 or 3 grand whatever it takes) or spend 3 grand and get a 737 type and ATP at the same time.
I haven't flown a small twin in a long time, it would probably take me 3 or 4 lessons to learn how to fly a piston twin again and to get up to ATP standards in a Seminole (more than $2000. by the time the checkride is done).
I've been flying jets/turboprops in a two pilot crew environment for quite a while so I decided the 737 type rating is the best way to get the ATP.

Why didn't you get the ATP when you did the Beechjet type, is it a military type rating?

...the ATP wasn't an option through the military with the type. Thanks for the reply.....

I second the above post on the 73 type, that'll also put you in the pool at SWA when you meet the other req's.
