I don't think that number is correct. Maybe combined with Polar and counting the ones parked. According to Airfleets Air Atlanta, Air Atlanta Europe and Polar operate 31 active 747.

Maybe someone more familiar with the actual numbers can chime in?

Here are the most recent numbers I received from the company:Last count was Atlas 17 Classics & 11 -400's and Polar 6 Classics & 6 -400's

Hnl

I was looking online at the schedule and it no longer shows any HNL flights. Has Polar ceased HNL operations?

Not sure what Polar has in the way of scheduled service through HNL, but we (Atlas) have several flights a week through HNL going to SYD & AKL for our Qantas and Air New Zealand contract.

Don't know what online schedule you were looking at, but we do have frequent flights from TVS to HNL on the Classic. Also a few flights from ANC to HNL on the -400. ;)

Are those all actively flying? If you look on the link that fun posted, they're listing a bunch of them as stored.

As far as I can see, based on the flying we're doing, those numbers for ATLAS are current planes operating, minus those that are in for scheduled maintenance and the aircraft damaged in DUS. I cannot comment on what Polar has operating.

Do you or Polar still have A/C in the desert?

Does atlas or polar take jumpseaters from non-cass airlines? I'm looking to make a trip to sydney australia soon and loads on UAL suck. Is there a phone number to list? Thx

Atlas Air Jumpseating

You can fill out the information on the website and submit it to the company, and then call our Jumpseat Desk to confirm your request and get updated schedules. Please allow 48 hours before planned travel date to submit your request, but heard it can be done in as little as 24 hours.

If going to Australia, the company requires that you have a valid passport and a visa (ETA) for entry. The usual trips are: HNL-SYD, HNL-AKL-MEL , we do not usually operate back to HNL from SYD. From SYD we usually go to SYD-PER, SYD-PVG or SYD-HKG.

I hope you find this information useful, see attached link for further information:

Phone number: in USA 800-862-8527 outside USA 914-701-6400 and then press the following numbers at the voice prompt in order to get to the Jumpseat Desk 1-2-2-4

You for got to mention, even though Atlas gives you a "positive space ticket" from your Gateway, they consider it income and tax you on it. That sucks and we at Polar have, so far, resisted that crap.

Fussy, How did the polar pilot group resist the tax on tickets? What did your pilot group or union do on this matter? The way I see it, management, with the polar base setup in JFK, can not make a case for taxing the travel tickets on the polar side of the business. Although the reasoning the compnay uses to explain the taxing issue on the Altas travel is stupid, they still do it to the atlas people. But that's all, nothing you or your union did. On the other hand, they charge the polar pilots the tax on the reserve hotel in JFK. So here is something you and your union should work on instead of pointing fingers at the Atlas pilots. Like it is their fault that they get forced to pay the tax on tickets. In all reality, it is time for Atlas and Polar guys and girls to get together and to focus on our future as a mergered entity. Unity makes strong. Please, don't make it sound like your group or union is better in dealing with management. The only thing that makes us better is working together as equal partners.
