I do not have an address for Atlas human resources. They are HQ'd in Purchase, NY.

Jeff--That's an interesting rumor that I've not heard. What's your source, if you don't mind?

All I know about new-hire basing and travel is that they're hiring for Stanstead and you're on your own for travel and lodging. It ain't pretty--especially for those with ties in the States.

I was at Eglin AFB last week flying with an Atlas B744 doing some test missions (secret squirrel stuff) and had some time to talk with the Atlas pilots between the flights. They were both senoir captains who also were involved with training and other related "management" aspects of the airline. They both said that Atlas was doing much better and they expected to hire up to 120 pilots during the next 12 months. They also said that Atlas and Polar would be merging aircrews and aircraft and that they would be adding on a couple more B744s in the near future. They also mentioned that Atlas is seriously looking at buying B777s to eventually replace their older B747-200/300s and may be bidding for the Boeing contract to fly the yet-to-be-built B747-400 LCF (four aircraft), which will be used to fly 7E7 sub-assemblies from Italy, Japan, and China to Seattle for final assembly. Overall they were both cautiously optimistic about Atlas' future now that some of their old senior executives have been replaced and the cargo business cycle is picking up significantly.
